British Airways, the UK’s National Carrier, has announced the expansion of its short-haul network from Gatwick to London City. The news is just in time for your next winter city break.
Rabat, Morocco:
From London Gatwick, BA Euroflyer has introduced a year-round service to Rabat. As of now, British Airways is operating flights to Marrakech and Agadir. However, we have extended access to Morocco with flights from London Gatwick to Rabat. Flights will be offered every Wednesday and Sunday from November 5, 2025.
Meryem Bennouna of the Moroccan National Tourist Office stated:
“The launch of British Airways flights between London and Rabat, the capitals of two historically linked kingdoms, sends a powerful message to the rest of the world about the increasing touristic appeal of Morocco to Brits and the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries.”
Graz, Austria:
British Airways has enhanced its flight connectivity to another city in Central Europe. The airline is set to operate yet another flight route from London to Graz. The operations are expected to start on November 21 and will be available thrice a week. British Airways is currently managing its efficient flight operations to three major cities in
: Vienna, Salzburg, and Innsbruck. Flight prices from London to Graz are starting from £60 each way.
Karen Hilton, Managing Director of BA Euroflyer, stated:
“We’re excited to further strengthen our connectivity between London and Austria by adding Graz. We will be the only direct operation between the two cities.”
He further said:
“With its year-round warm weather, Morocco is ideal for those seeking an off-season escape without a lengthy flight time. The addition of Rabat means we now fly to three fantastic destinations in Morocco, an excellent choice for families, couples, and friends alike.”
Madrid, Spain:
Following new routes in North Africa and Central Europe, British Airways Cityflyer will start offering flights from London City to Madrid, Spain, on December 1. There will be a total of 11 weekly flights to the Spanish capital. The flight prices are starting from £78 only.
Passengers flying in Club Europe business class on these new routes will also enjoy access to British Airways’ newly revamped Club Lounge in London City.
