How To Get Umrah Visa From UK?

The pilgrims are directed to read and comply with the following instructions before applying for and filling in the Saudi Umrah Visa Form.

Umrah Visa Policy Updated: (As of 24th September 2019)

We are glad to announce that the New Umrah Visa Policy has implemented now. For quick and convenient visa processing, please get in touch with travel agents at Travelhouseuk.

As per the new policies:

  • The Saudi government has waived the charges of 2000 SAR for the customers who wish to perform Umrah twice in the same calendar year. Although they have introduced a revised visa fee which is up to £175.

  • British Passport holders are required to send us the Scanned Passport Copies, Digital Passport Size photograph with white background. The umrah processing is expected to be completed in 5-7 working days.

  • Please note that the Umrah processing time has slightly increased as the travel agent are required to issue a BRN through approved servers before they can apply for Umrah Visa.

  • Each pilgrim is required to enter Saudi Arabia with pre-arranged accommodation and return tickets; applications for Umrah Visa cannot be processed without these pre-requisites.

  • Non-British passport are required to submit their documents in the Embassy. Moreover, visa processing can take up to 15 working days.

  • When you are applying for your Umrah visa application form; please make sure that your passport is valid for the next six months from date of travel. Also, it has at least two blank pages (a vacant double-page spread).

  • The Ministry of Hajj & Umrah clearly states that the validity of an Umrah visa is one month. However, the lesser pilgrimage, regardless of how elaborate it is, cannot take more than two weeks. The stay period shrinks to a mere 14 days from the month of Rajab to Ramadan.

  • It is mandatory for all women who are under 45 years of age to travel for Umrah accompanied by a Mahram. The minimum age requirement for Mahram is 17 years.

  • Since Umrah cannot be performed without a Mahram in the above-mentioned case, documented evidence of kinship/relationship with the male relative must be attached with the form. On his part, the Mahram should not withhold anything and provide all the necessary information in writing. If he is the spouse of the woman in question, he is directed to produce a copy of the marriage certificate. If he is her sibling, both his and his sister's birth certificate must be submitted. Consistency of language must be kept in mind. If some of your documents are in English and others are not, it is advised to get the rest of the documents translated before submission. Also, your documents will not be considered valid if not appropriately notarized.

  • Women, who are 45 years old or older than that are allowed to travel without being escorted by a Mahram. Such a woman will be part of a larger group that she travels with. In this case, NOC will be required to prove that there is no objection to her travelling with the said group from her family.

  • Candidates are advised in their interest to apply for their Umrah visa through approved Umrah travel agents in the UK or a licensed UK based travel agency. As per their latest regulations, the government of Saudi Arabia does not allow candidates to apply directly.

  • If the applicant is a converted Muslim and bears a non-Muslim name, this exempted candidate must submit a separate certificate from a certified mosque proving that he or she is a Muslim.

  • The candidate must be vaccinated against meningitis and is bound by duty to provide documented proof of that vaccination. This medical report must be the current record of the candidate's health in that respect and should hold a validity of 3 years. It is recommended to take this vaccination for Umrah at least two weeks before the flight. Furthermore, schedule your medical consultation well in time to avoid unforeseen developments. Children require an additional polio vaccination certificate.
