The archaeological sites are close to the city and the first place that you will want to visit is the Temple of Karnak. Well, it is more than a temple; it\u2019s a gigantic complex of sanctuaries, obelisks, pylons and kiosks that span over an area of 2 sq. km and has 10 cathedrals dedicated to the ancient gods of the past. The place is fascinating and to do them justice with this marvellous site you should plan a complete day visit to the place. The next place to visit is the Valley of the Kings, with its 63 tombs of the kings of different dynasties and the architecture of each one of them is totally different from the other.
