flights to Harare<\/a> are grounded along with other major routes served by the airline. Harare is the sector from which the company earns the profit. Air Zimbabwe flies from London Gatwick to Harare direct and it\u2019s the only airline which fly direct flights to Zimbabwe but due to the current situation, they are losing their profits every day.<\/p>\nCE Mr. Mavhunga also said that currently the organization have no money so that they can pay but all the dues will be paid by operating the services instead of going on strike. He said the only way to be on the same page is by negotiating and the services what the pilots are offering they will get paid for them. He also elaborated about the planes issue, as they need a new fleet of aeroplanes on the profitable routes like Gatwick to Harare in order to retain their clients and beat the competitors.<\/p>\n
Besides that pilots are saying that the company owes US $ 9 million in salaries and allowances. Whereas Mr. Mavhunga said the company had paid US $ 4 million in salaries and currently they are not in a position to pay in full.<\/p>\n
