Air Zimbabwe returns to the London skies, kicking off with a great start. As first reported by NewZimbabwe.com<\/a>, Transport Minister Felix Mhona confirms that around 1,479 passengers have booked seats on the airline\u2019s newly introduced London Gatwick to Harare<\/a> route. Additionally, more than 40 tonnes of cargo have been confirmed for the same route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news came as Zimbabwe\u2019s state-owned carrier took delivery of a 302-seat Airbus A330-300 at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport. It has a configuration of 30 business-class seats and 272 economy-class seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight marks Air Zimbabwe\u2019s official first direct service to London in 14 years. Once the first flight takes off on July 22, the route will run thrice weekly. It is scheduled to depart from Harare every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday, while return flights from London are scheduled on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
