Finding a vacation hotspot in Florida is easy; you can head to exotic Miami for partying on the beach or to Orlando for a fun-filled tour of the Disney World. But what if you are looking for a relaxing vacation in a peaceful surrounding with not that many noisy tourists roaming around, well then there are not many places that Florida can offer. There is one thou, with its white sandy beach covered with the shells where you can relax while the angry water of Atlantic collides with the shoreline. This is the Saint George Island in the Apalachicola Bay and it is fast becoming a favourite destination for the tourists looking for a peaceful vacation spot.<\/p>\n

If you are already in the USA then a short flight to Tallahassee airport and then a ferry to Saint George Island will be a better option for your travel. If you are travelling from outside the country then take direct flights to Orlando<\/a>, from where you can get the connecting flight to Tallhassee.<\/p>\n

St George Island<\/p>\n

The island is a beautiful fusion of the natural colours, white of its sand, green of its lush forests and the turquoise of its waters. A stroll on the soft sandy beach of the island will surely make you relax and provide a great escape from your daily hectic life. If that\u2019s not good enough for you then rent a fishing rod from the store of the islands and head to the shallow waters of the shore for fishing. The trout and the redfish are abundant in its water and with a little luck, you can catch your self a big enough fish for the evening meal. You can also hire a boat that will take you the waters of Apalachicola Bay for a more detailed fishing experience.<\/p>\n

Saint George Island Florida<\/p>\n

The climate of the Island is tropical and mild like the rest of Florida for the most part of the year, which makes it a great place for a getaway. If you planned for a single day visit to the island then you can take the boat back to Tallhasse or New Point till the afternoon and if you are interested in staying for the night then you can find cheap accommodation in the hotels of the island.
