BA 039 was in mid-flight to Beijing from London Heathrow when the pilot requested an emergency landing in Irkutsk; however, the plane did not land until 40 minutes after the initial request \u2013 at 10.41AM local time.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelhouseuk.co.uk\/airlines\/BA-british_airways.htm\" rel=\"noopener\">British Airways<\/a> website, the flight will continue its journey to Beijing at 9PM local time. British Airways\u2019 engineers were called out and flew all the way to Siberia, as the Navigation Software problem was severe.
