British Airways have taken a confident initiative for operating flights to Liberia<\/a>. <\/strong>British Airways\u2019 Regional Customer Service Manager for the Sub-Saharan region of Africa, Rob Cooper paid a visit to Liberia for the purpose. The representative was received by the Deputy Transport Minister J. Ebenezer Kolliegbo in the transport ministry. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Deputy Minister applauded the initiative while assuring full federal support for British Airways. The ministry will direct the relevant authorities which consist of L.C.A.A (Liberia Civil Aviation Authority) and Robert international Airport to provide cooperation for the British Airways assessment team, which will let the airline get approval for operations in Liberia.<\/p>\n

Robert Cooper cited the main purpose of his visit was to explore avenues for British Airways in Liberia. He expressed his satisfaction with the prevalent peace in the country, allowing commerce to grow for economic development. He added that the British flag carrier will commit itself to the service of the Liberian people and their country where it serves best. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Liberia\u2019s Roberts International Airport is located near the capital city of Monrovia.\u00a0 Brussels Airlines, Delta and Air France are airlines among international and domestic commercial carriers which are currently operating at the airport. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Furthermore, British Airways had a respective market share in Liberia’s airline market before the country became engulfed in civil war. The airline has shown interest in establishing air routes over Liberia after the war has concluded, with plans to start flights to the country by October 2012.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
