More than three million tourists head to Puerto Rico annually making it the most visited island of the region. Its airports are perhaps the busiest in the Caribbean but the only international flights available are for London with British Airways and for Madrid with Iberia. The biggest attraction of the city is the historical Spanish forts that were built to protect the San Juan harbour from the pirates, yes the pirates of the Caribbean. Most famous of the forts in the area is the gigantic El Moro which is one of the largest forts built by the Spanish in any of their colonies in the Americas. San Juan\u2019s beaches and the coral reefs along them are where you will find the most of the tourist to the island heading to, the reason being the beaches that are soft and white and the coral reefs of the San Juan that holds seven different ecosystems in them that are surely worth observing.<\/p>\n

If you are a surfing enthusiast then most probably you will have already made up your mind about spending much of your vacation in Rincon. This is a heaven for the surfers worldwide with its strong breaks and surfs. Rincon is considered as one of the two top surfing destinations in the world other being the islands of Hawaii. Rincon waves are as close to a perfect wave as it can get breaking somewhere between 2ft to 25 ft and providing an awesome surfing experience.
