The pristine natural beauty is worth seeing as you certainly want to witness what the world calls a paradise!

Geography

Philippines lies in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. To its north across the Luzon Strait is Taiwan. West across the South China Sea, Vietnam is situated. The Sulu Sea to the southwest lays between the country and the island of Borneo and to the south the Celebes Sea is separating it from other islands of Indonesia. On the east it is bounded by the Philippine Sea. Its location and its tropical climate makes the Philippines prone to earthquakes and typhoons but have also endowed the country with natural resources and made it one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the world.

Climate/ Weather

Philippines has a tropical marine climate. There are rainfalls almost throughout the year. The summer monsoon starts from May and ends till October whereas the winter monsoon is from December till February. The rest of the year, from March till May, most of the lowlands of the country are hot and dusty though the temperature rarely rises above 37° C.

During the recent years, the country’s weather has become unpredictable resulting in a lot of tropical storms. The typhoons may lead to foul weather for days but there’s nothing much that can be done to predict them except for adapting the local maxim- whatever will be will be!

Best time to Travel

Anytime in the year is a good time to visit the Philippines except during the Holy Week around Easter when the hotels are booked months in advance and the prices are sky high.

The low season is from June to September which is the rainy season, though in some parts of the county it does not rain at all! Accommodation prices usually decrease during this season.
