Virgin Atlantic to cut flights

News added by Muhammad Kashif under Airline News

Virgin Atlantic will suspend one of its twice daily flights between Hong Kong and the UK and is reviewing staff numbers following continued weakness in air travel markets.

The moves are part of a planned reduction in seat capacity of around seven per cent across its network and includes the cancellation of its London, UK service to Chicago, USA during the winter (northern) season. Virgin’s decision follows moves by rival British Airways  to cut staff and services to bring them more into line with current market demand.
