Frequency of flights will be increased by Malaysian airlines on Kuala Lumpur-Banglore route.It will also help to meet needs of tourism sector and businessmen.Number of flights will be increased to Five on the route on daily basis in about a year time.Yesterday trade minister told reporters.
He said he had been informed of the development by Malaysian Airlines, which is now flying four times a week on the route.Indian businessmen have been requesting for a daily flight between Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur in order to boost trade and investment between the two countries, pointing out that more air connections were currently available with Bangkok and Singapore than Kuala Lumpur.
Air connection is important not only for business links but also tourism, said Mustapa who is currently in India to lead a trade and investment mission to Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore.
