Eight major intl airlines signed deals to launch flights to china

During the three-day Forum, eight major international airlines signed deals with Beijing Capital International Airport to operate flights to and from China. And eight new routes will be opened.

South African Airways, the United State’s Delta Airlines and Lan Chile, all signed deals with BCIA to begin non-stop flights in and out of China. The direct flights between Johannesburg and Beijing will be the first to open.

In addition, British Airways, Emirates, Nepal Airlines and Vietnam Airlines will increase their non-stop flights to Beijing. The new routes are expected to open in September 2009.
