The largest and most populated island is Langkawi after which all the islands in the group are generally called. It lies 30 km west of Kuala Perlis on the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia, just below the maritime border with neighboring Thailand.

At our resort, much time, effort and energy has been dedicated towards creating the right ambience and mood. It's an island steeped in tradition and folklore, of myths, legends and magical tales of the past. From the mist-covered mountains to the jungle-clad hills, to the buffalo populated paddy fields, Langkawi exudes with mystery and charm. The tomb of Mahsuri, an innocent lady unjustly accused of adultery and was put to death is surely a stop you must not miss. Legend has it that with her dying breath, she cursed the island for seven generations. Today, it is as if the island has just woken from the slumber of the curse and is slowly but surely progressing.

The Tale of the Seven Wells - it's a common belief that the seven wells are the dwelling place of fairies and genies. The Lake of the Pregnant Maiden - the locals believe that any barren women drinking from the waters of this lake will be able to conceive.

Cave of the Banshee - home to giant bats and is said to be haunted. The 91 meter high cave is forbidding and mysterious.
