Welcome to
Casa Del Mar LangkawiDel Mar Langkawi
FIVE STAR 10 NIGHTS
STARTING FROM GBP999
Casa Del Mar Langkawi
Langkawi is a cluster of 99
islands in the Andaman Sea, off
the northwestern coast of
Peninsular Malaysia. Blessed
with white sands and crystal
clear water, the Pulau Langkawi
is the largest, while the others
appear to be mere dots in the
emerald green ocean when viewed
from the air.
Legend has it that Langkawi's
name is made up of the eagle or
'helang' as known in the Malay
Language. 'Lang' for short and
in Malay, 'kawi' means reddish
brown; thus Langkawi simply
means reddish brown eagle.
Located on the
South-Western coast of
Langkawi, Casa del Mar
is merely a 10-minute
ride from Langkawi
International Airport
and within close
proximity to Kuah Town.
The resort sits on
Pantai Cenang Beach, the
most popular
entertainment area in
Langkawi with a wide
selection of restaurants
and pubs nearby. All
Casa del Mar guests are
offered transfers to and
from the airport in
air-conditioned comfort.
The cost is RM 10.00 per
journey per person. If
arriving at the ferry
terminal there are
plenty of taxis
available and a one-way
fare will cost around
RM16.00. The Dining Room
Sun-kissed
patio breakfasts
Local
classic dishes sit alongside the western traditional eggs
on toast on the breakfast menu at Casa del Mar. Freshly
squeezed orange juice, home baked pastries and
just-brewed coffee served with a view
of fishing boats gliding home (Langkawi’s only rush
hour) past Rebak Island laden with the morning catch,
quite likely to be tonight’s dinner.
Lazy
deck chair lunches Lunch
in Langkawi, lingers somewhere between the last coffee
at breakfast and when the dinner menu is presented. Light
crisp salads, overstuffed sandwiches, and a crisp chilled
sauvignon blanc are offered to fortify energies for the
afternoon activity of lying back and thinking of when
you should take the next cooling dip in the pool.
Pool
Bar Sunsets
Sunsets
always look better when reinforced with a salt encrusted
Margarita or a tangy punch of fresh tropical fruit. When
the day’s business of shell collecting, island hopping
or shop browsing is done, this is the place to savour
the memory and welcome the evening.
Moonlit
beachside dinners
A
special in many hotels, beachside moonlit dinners come
as a standard feature at Casa del Mar. Seated among the
coconut trees serenaded by the symphony of waves on the
shore and the breeze filtered by palm fronds. The menu
of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine lightly spiced with
the flavours of Asia is ably complemented with a list
of 100 wines from all corners of the globe.
The Wine and Cigar Room
Flanked by racks of red wine and cabinets of Havana’s finest cigars, the opulent atmosphere of this room is just the place to recover from dinner. Set the world to rights engulfed in an overstuffed sofa, a
smoldering Cuban Cohiba in one hand and a balloon of Hennessy XO in the other.
Checkmate a mate in a game of chess, flick through the Tattler or wade into one of the meaty novels from our library of novels.
Two computer terminals with broadband Internet access, keep you in touch with friends, the stock market or abreast of the latest news.
Your
first view of Casa del Mar as you arrive by our air-conditioned
transfer. Only 7 minutes from the airport, passing
by paddy plantations.
Once
you walk in the doors youll notice that were
not big on lobbies at Casa del Mar. Its more
of a living room where you can settle in after your
journey, enjoy a fruit punch, a cold towel and a chat
with the manager who is keen to meet all arrivals
and answer questions about the Island and the resort.
Once
the paperwork is out of the way its off to your
room via the Patio and the pool, pausing briefly on
the way, to mentally select your sun-bed for an afternoon
read under the coconut grove.
Our
Deluxe rooms all face the sea; have their own patio
at the front from which you can enjoy the view with
light refreshment.
We
have two junior suites and they are on the first floor.
They have four-poster beds, an additional lounge area
and a double vanity in the bathroom.
We
also have two deluxe suites on the first floor. They

A beachside moonlit dinner
The lamb gets rave reviews as do many others
Flanked by racks of red wine and cabinets of Havana's
finest cigars, the opulent atmosphere of the wine room
is just the place to recover from dinner. Set the world
to rights engulfed in an overstuffed sofa, a smoldering
Cuban Cohiba in one hand and a balloon of Hennessy XO
in the other.
Perhaps a moonlit stroll along the beach and maybe even
a final nightcap on the patio of your room. We have recently
installed CD / DVD / MP3 players in all the rooms so you
can sit on your patio soaking up the sound of the night
and your favourite tunes sipping on a glass of something
special.
