The premier airport in New Zealand, Auckland International Airport (AKL) is experiencing a time of great growth in all respects, with current annual passenger traffic of 12 million expected to soar over the next few years. The airport itself can be found around 20 km / 12.5 miles south of central Auckland and next to Ihumatao, Mangere, Manukau City, Papatoetoe and the Puhinui Reserve.
Located next to the 20 (South Western Motorway), 20A (George Bolt Memorial Drive) and 20B (Puhinui Road), Auckland Airport is easy to reach. Airbus transport links nearby towns and cities, such as Auckland itself, Manukau City, Pukekohe, Tauranga and Waitakere. Shuttle buses are also in good supply and gather outside of the Qantas and Air New Zealand termin
Edinburgh Airport ( EDI )
Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is Scotland's premier airport, serving about the same throughput of passengers as Glasgow Airport and providing a gateway to the capital city and the east of Scotland.
There is just one terminal at Edinburgh Airport, which is served by numerous airlines that travel to more than 100 worldwide destinations.
Getting to the city: Airlink 100 buses connect between the airport and the city centre every 10 minutes, from early morning until after midnight, and cost £3 (calling at the Waverley and Haymarket train stations). There are many alternative buses including Night bus N22, Service 35 and Airdirect 747, that run to the city centre via a couple of stops en route. Stops for public buses are situated at stand 18
