The airport is located 9km (6 miles) to the northeast of central Queenstown, in the lakeside settlement of Frankton.
Queenstown Airport is located in Frankton, Otago, New Zealand, and serves the resort town of Queenstown, handling more than 700,000 airline scheduled passengers a year, which is growing rapidly.
Passengers departing Queenstown Airport on international flights, who are 12 years old and over, must pay a $25 Departure Fee. Departure Fee payments may be made at Travelex stores in the airport terminal prior to clearing security.
