Manchester Airport is a major airport located at Ringway in the City of Manchester within Greater Manchester, England, and is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom outside the London region in terms of passenger numbers. Manchester International Airport (MAN) ranks as the UK's fourth-busiest airports, seeing upwards of 189,000 aircraft movements and serving over 22 million passengers per year.
Manchester International Airport has an efficient ground transportation infrastructure comprised of trains, buses, coaches, taxis and hotel shuttles. Public bus services run to the city centre twice hourly, and also to further destinations around northern England, being provided by Stagecoach. Rail is the speediest option from the airport to central Manchester or vice versa, with regular services and an average journey time of 20 minutes.
Facilities:
Money and communications: ATMs, bureaux de change, banking facilities, Internet booths and a post office are available. Wireless Internet access is available in the terminal buildings at cafés and seating areas.
