The Entebbe International Airport lays 40km southwest of Kampala. It is the chief international airport of Uganda and serves as the aviation hub. Just like the airport in Cameroon, this airport also serves to both military and civilians. Till 1935, Entebbe International Airport had a grass runway which was 900 yards long.
Facilities at the airport include:

•  Business communication centre
•  Public payphones
•  Restaurants and bars
•  Duty free shopping

Hertz and some other companies operate the car rental service at the airport. Taxis are also available at a fixed-rate service to Kampala.

SN Brussels (SN), Royal Dutch KLM (KL), Ethiopian Airline (ET), British Air (BA), Emirates (EK), South African Airways (SA) and Kenya Airways (KQ) are airlines that operate at the airport.
