Dunedin International Airport is an international airport in the Otago province of the South Island of New Zealand, serving Dunedin and the Otago and Southland regions. The airport is located adjacent to the village of Momona on the Taieri Plains approximately 22 kilometres west of central Dunedin city.
Construction of the airport was completed in 1962, and its primary use was to cater for passengers of short haul aircraft. The airport underwent a major and extensive upgrade to its facilities in c.2005, with a bigger check-in area and a new international arrival area. The airport is now up to worldwide standards in terms of facilities.
