Cardiff Airport is the international airport for Wales serving Cardiff and the rest of South, Mid and West Wales. Around 2 million passengers pass through the airport each year.Cardiff Airport also boasts literally hundreds of connecting flights across the world, ultimately flying to destinations such as Barbados, Cancun, Orlando and Sharm el Sheikh. Over the past 15 years, investments totalling more than £20 million have ensured that Cardiff Airport maintains its award-winning facilities, being recently voted in the 'Top 10 Best World Airports' by the Daily Telegraph.

Facilities:

Money and communications: There are ATMs on the first floor of the terminal building and in the arrivals hall as well as in the departures lounge. Bureaux de change are situated on the first floor of the terminal and in the baggage reclaim hall. BT Openzone WiFi Internet access is available to subscribers.
Eating and drinking: Several catering options are available in the terminal. There is the Food Village, which sells sandwiches, snacks, hot food and beverages, and is located in the food court area on the first floor of the departures building. Burger King is located adjacent to the Food Village. A bar on the first floor serves alcoholic and soft drinks. There are a café and bar in the departure lounge.
Shopping: There are two newsagents selling a full range of newspapers, books, snacks, gifts and tobacco in the terminal building. In the departures lounge, the Travel Shopping Tax and Duty Free shop offers a wide range of perfume, cosmetics, confectionery, clothing and electronic equipment. It also has duty-free liquor and tobacco for travellers outside the EU. An electronics store sells the latest equipment from Sony, Apple and other leading electronic brands.
Luggage: Items found should be handed to a member of security or to the information desk. Enquiries about lost property should be made to the information desk (tel: (01446) 711 111).
Other facilities: Special baby care rooms are available on the first floor of the departure lounge and in the arrivals hall. A chaplaincy is located on the first floor of the departures lounge. A play centre is available in the airside departure lounge. There are two game zones with the latest video arcade machines at the airport, one on the first floor of the terminal building and the other within the departure lounge.

Getting to the city: There are hourly bus services to Cardiff city centre between 6am and midnight available outside of the terminal building (Tel: 0871 200 22 33). On Sunday the buses run every two hours. Journey time to Cardiff from the airport is approximately 35 minutes and bus fare is approximately £2.70. A rail link connects Cardiff International Airport to Cardiff Central and Bridgend. Trains run each direction every hour daily (every two hours on Sunday) with onward connections possible to other destinations on the rail network. A shuttle connects from the airport to the nearby train station (Tel: 0845 748 49 50). The official airport taxi operator has a desk in the arrivals hall. Approximate fare to Cardiff City Centre is £26 (Tel: 01446 711747).

Car rental: Avis, Europcar and Hertz are represented at the airport.

Parking: Both short- and long-term parking is available. Long-term parking may be pre-booked online at the airport's website.
