Though the international airport of Ghana is not very extensive, it has sufficient facilities. You may have to face unexpected flight delays at the airport so make sure you reconfirm your flight and arrive at least two hours before the scheduled departure time.
The airport has been reconstructed in the recent years and is now provided with a control tower, terminal building, a modern immigration hall and a proper lounge. Other facilities at the airport include:

•  VIP Lounge
•  Duty Free Shop
•  Restaurants, Cafeterias and Bars
•  Chemist Shop and First Aid

The Kotoka International Airport (ACC) is located 12km north of the Accra city centre and can be reached by using a metered or shared taxi. However, sharing a taxi is not advised. You can also use a rented car to get to the city. Booths for car rental companies are just outside the arrival hall.

Airlines like Ethiopian Airlines (ET), Alitalia (AZ), British Airways (BA), Brussels Airlines (SN), Egypt Air (MS), KLM Royal Dutch (KL), Lufthansa (LH), Turkish Airlines (TK), and Virgin Atlantic (VS) serve the airport.
