Gateway to north-east Scotland, Aberdeen Airport is an international airport, located at Dyce in the City of Aberdeen, approximately 5 NM (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) northwest of Aberdeen city centre.
Facilities:
Money and communications: There is a bureau de change also selling holiday and travel insurance. ATMs are available before and after security. Wireless Internet is available at several points.
Eating and drinking: The airport has a pub, a bar and coffee shop and several restaurants.
Shopping: There are bookshops and a gift shop at the airport. There is also a duty-free shop. A shopping collection service is available. For further information, call the Shopping Information Line (tel: 0844 335 1000).
Luggage: Left-luggage and lost property services are available (tel: 0844 481 6666).
Other facilities: These include mother and baby rooms, a quiet area and a family entertainment area.
Getting to the city: Aberdeen and Inverness train services run from the local station at Dyce, which is just a short taxi ride from the airport. The main line station is in Aberdeen city centre where there are frequent services to all parts of Scotland and England. Regular bus services operate from the airport to Aberdeen city centre for around £1.50. Services are less frequent at weekends than on weekdays.
Parking: There are two car parks at the airport; the short-term car park is situated in front of the terminal building and the long-term car park is off Forties Road and offers a courtesy bus to the terminal. Car rental: Car hire companies represented at the airport include Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National/Alamo. Other off-airport operators can be contacted via the airport information desk.
