Economy class passengers are advised to check in between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
Facility of online check in is also available. That can be done 24 hours prior to the departure of the scheduled flight. Airline baggage allowance:
Hand luggage: Passengers are allowed to carry one bag weighing no more than 8 kg and having dimension, not exceeding 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
Checked: Economy class passengers are allowed to have one bag weighing no more than 23kg. Business Class passengers are entitled to have a free checked luggage allowance to 2 bags weighing no more than 32 kg each. Passengers travelling in First Class are allowed 3 bags weighing no more than 32kg each.
Excess: Excess luggage (one extra piece) will be charged at £44 on European routes and approx £132 on international routes.
Seat pitch: 31 inches.
Passengers can request to reserve the seats 24 hours prior to the departure of the scheduled flight. Seat reservation request can also be made at the time of check in.

Child fare on Lufthansa is normally 75 % of the adult fare. Children under two years old (infant) pay 10 % of the adult fare and they also do not occupy a separate seat.
There is no discount for senior citizens.
Pets are allowed to be transported in Lufthansa flights. Depending on the size and weight of the pets it is then determined that whether they will be transported in the cabin or via hold. Normally small cats and dogs are allowed in the cabin. Total weight including pet plus the container should not exceed 8 kg and the maximum dimension of the container should not be more than 55 x 40 x 20cm.
